From Horses to Hounds, Slam Poet and Performer Pauline Holmes

Desk jobs, and horses and dogs, oh my!

This week, I’m speaking with Pauline Holmes. After 10 years at a desk job that hated, Pauline finally was free to pursue life beyond the desk. But a seriously scary horse-riding accident meant that she had to rethink her life and career once again.

Now, Pauline is a 60-something poet and storyteller with the “mind of a child and the wrinkles of someone much older”. She will be bringing her award-winning slam poetry performance to the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE –Friday 5th August to Saturday13th August 2022.

On The Second Chapter, serial careerist and founder of Slackline Productions, Kristin Duffy, chats with women who started the second (or third… or fifth!) chapter in their careers and lives, after 35. You’ll find inspiring stories, have a few laughs, and maybe even be motivated to turn the page on your own second chapter!

Of course we’d love to hear what you think- and if you love the show, please leave us a 5-star rating and review on podchaser or Apple podcasts.
