Maria is passionate about new writing, having performed in a variety of new writing/scratch nights. Last year, she played the fun-loving R in The Plunge (The Space) and featured in The Chorus of Women in the world premiere of Mary (Hampstead Theatre). She played the no-nonsense matriarch Irene in the world premiere of dark comedy Tenancy (Hampton Hill Theatre). Her short film credits include Mildred in Losing It (Sky Arts/Creative England) and Eve in Insider.
