Over It! Seeks Women and Non-Binary Directors 35+

Director Callout!!!

Over It! is seeking directors for Over it! Revolution Festival launch event.

Over It! Festival is a new festival, premiering in 2025, dedicated to shattering stereotypes of women and enbys 35+ on-stage.

Please note, this is an unpaid event. N.B., we are seeking funding for the festival 2025.

What we’re looking for:

• Women/non-binary theatre directors, aged 35+
• A love of new writing and doing things a bit “off the cuff”
• Availability to attend the Over It! event in London (Omnibus Theatre) on 23th March

What is Over It! Revolution?

Over It! Revolution is the birth of Over It!, an exciting festival dedicated to shattering stereotypes of women and enbys 35+ on-stage and launching in 2025. It is a collaboration between Slackline Productions, Fireraisers and Blue Masque Theatre.

We’re looking for six women/non-binary directors aged 35+ to set the tone and help shape the future of a festival telling our stories.

Omnibus Theatre, 23rd March 2024.

What to send:

Send us a submission of interest including:

• What type of theatre you like to direct/ a bit about you as a director
• What you’ve done (a CV or statement) This doesn’t have to be large-scale theatre projects— we LOVE if you’re an early career director or coming back after a break!!
• A short statement about why you’re excited to join the revolution

The six selected directors will direct a rehearsed reading of 10-minute plays at the Omnibus Theatre as part of the launch on 23rd March. (Commitment time = a bit of pre-prep on your own with the script the week before and a few hours rehearsal on 23rd March prior to the event) Writers retain the rights to the script.
